The Open Water Diver course has been designed to introduce students to the underwater world. This course is the entry level for compressed air diving training and is recognised world wide for it's high standards, both in tuition and safety. The successful student receives an internationally recognised diving certification.

In order to enrol in the Open Water Diver course, you must:

• Be 15 years of age or older.
• Be medically fit to Australian Standards 4005.1.
• Swim 200 meters any style or combination of styles.
• Tread water, drown proof etc. for a period of 10 minutes.

This course is divided up into the following:

• Two theory sessions.
• Two pool training sessions.
• Final examination.
• Four open water dives, including one boat dive.
